Abstract

Improving the livelihood of rural women is one of the development goals in any country. Therefore, the present study sought to identify the factors affecting the sustainability of rural women in Shiraz county. The research method was qualitative analysis with data- based approach and by theoretical sampling method, 20 interviews were conducted with experts and those involved in the development of rural women in the province. Data analysis was performed using MAXQDA12 software. The results showed that 387 codes and 26 concepts in the form of 8 central categories called air and climate fluctuations, personal resources, social resources and financial resources; Research, physical resources, marketing, law and institutional capacities were identified and extracted as effective factors in creating sustainable rural livelihood. In the selective coding stage, the relationships between the categories were identified and explained. According to the findings, it was found that the empowerment of rural women affects all aspects of their sustainable livelihood. Finally, it can be said that based on the suggestions presented based on the results of strategies to achieve sustainable livelihoods for rural women in Shiraz county can be considered by policy makers, planners and those involved in rural development and women's livelihood sustainability.
